Thanks to all who attended the 11th annual Taste of St. Croix on Thursday. Once again we had a crazy good time with all of you. This was my first time with my own table and I’m proud to report that the St. Croix Libation Society took home the 1st Place prize in the Beverage category.
Here was our drink entry.
Through the Looking Glass
We poured a clarified Daiquiri paired with Dehydrated Coconut Milk & Coconut Bitters Candy Floss on a Sugar Cane stick (yeah, alcoholic cotton candy)
It was a fun drink to make, I think the absence of any color helped drive home the wealth of flavors contained. I felt like it was a surprising conundrum to judge and I’m glad the judges agreed.
I’ll post how I made this drink sometime this week, but now I gotta get ready for Wine in the Warehouse.
We have a Diageo VIP Speakeasy that myself and a couple of the stars from Project Bartender USVI are running.
